PNC recently released the results of their spring 2018 Economic Outlook survey, a study conducted by Artemis. The most recent results of this semiannual study indicate that small- and medium-sized business owners are feeling generally optimistic. Half of respondents expressed optimism about the national economy, up from 29 percent in fall 2017 and the survey’s highest optimism response rate in its 15 years. However, one in three say it’s harder to hire qualified employees than it was six months to a year ago.
