What are business travelers’ data security concerns? Does confidence vary globally?
We conducted research on business traveler safety and security for Carlson Wagonlit Travel earlier this year, and have shared findings on hotel safety and loyalty programs as well as views on the safety of ground transportation. Some new results on data security were published recently. Key findings:
- 65% of business travelers are nervous about data safety when traveling.
- Travelers from the Americas are significantly more confident about not compromising their employer’s data safety when traveling (46%) than those in Asia Pacific (28%) or Europe (27%).
- Respondents were most concerned about three different situations that could lead to exposing company data while traveling: having their laptops or other mobile devices stolen, or lost (29%), using public Wi-Fi (21%) and working on their laptop or other mobile devices (9%).
