Entry-level hiring and AI, a human finger touching tech swirl, which lights up at the contact

Entry-Level Hiring in the AI Era, Strada Education Foundation Study

Our client Strada Education Foundation recently released the results of a study we conducted for them, which looks at how employers are thinking about hiring in a quickly shifting landscape.

Much of our focus was on entry-level hiring amidst the rapid rise of artificial intelligence. Job seekers and those helping them prepare for the job search are feeling understandable uncertainty. However, employers indicate that AI tools are more likely to increase than reduce entry-level hiring in their organization.

Furthermore, critical thinking and communication are valued more highly in entry-level hires than AI literacy. In fact, employers rate AI literacy as the least important skill evaluated.

The Wall Street Journal released exclusive findings earlier today.

The study overview on Strada’s website includes deeper insights and a downloadable PDF report.

We built this study for consistent, longitudinal monitoring so Strada can track how employer perspectives shift as the job market evolves. Strada plans to conduct this survey twice a year.
